I loved it!

You took a simple mechanic and infused it with new, creative ideas. What I loved about this was that you added small background elements (e.g., the robots on the horizon, the ships flying past) that established something reminiscent of a story, or at least an interesting setting for the game. It flows well, as there is no narrative to intrude upon the gameplay, and it is quite addictive. The music was a big plus as well- I loved it, and it really helped set the mood for the game.
However, as many have expressed before me, this game can be punishingly hard at certain times. I would have liked there to be levels and a back story. Maybe some more variance in the game, like stairs in the office sections inside the building, or something like that. But that might mess with the flow of it, and it just might not be the direction you wanted to take the game in. Anyways, it was a simple, creative game that had style, and I enjoyed playing it. This is why I love indy developers- for their bold experiments in gameplay. Well done!

Good!

I'm going to be totally original here and NOT WRITE MY REVIEW IN BINARY.

I have to admit, at first I thought that this would be one of those cheap 'this to that' flashes with just a repeating pattern of numbers/letters, no matter what you put in. I was prepared to give the flash a zero rating if my predictions came true. However, after testing this, I was suprised to find that this WAS actual binary, and that a good amount of effort was put into it. The 'To English' button was a big surprise as well for me. You made a thorough, complete, clean and nice looking little flash. Well done! I give you a ten!

Informative and helpful!

I am learning AS, so I found this very useful. You covered a lot of the things essential to a platformer, and more. I found that this answered a lot of the questions I had about Action scripting(big relief)!Thank you!

However, I found a strange glitch. ( i don't know if it was the tutorial or my coding) but if you placed the character in an area between two walls, the character would slowly be pushed to the left by some unseen force, until the character fell through the wall on the left. This small bug has really been messing up my platformer. That is the only problem I've faced with this tutorial.

Yeah, the code has its glitches, but i'm still learning too i suppose. I'm glad it helped you, its nice to hear that its helping someone. I just hate rubbish tutorials that explain nothing, so people copy it, change graphics, and submit. I wanted to explain everything so people could learn from it. And on the wall, for the one on the left, change the -= speed or whatever it was to += speed, it should solve your problem.

Great game!

This game is 100% awesomeness. Whenever I go to arcades, the first game I want to play is Raiden. This game is extremely true to the Raiden arcade game, and it felt like I was playing the real thing! (Minus all the quarters you have to put in when you die)
This is a truly great game! I hope that there will be a sequel!

Its an AWESOME game!

I found this to be an quite enjoyable game. The graphics were nice, the sound was great, and the level design was ingenious. I even found this to be harder than the actual Portal game.A thoroughly well developed game. However, ther were quite a few glitches, many of which were on level 38. (I would suddenly teleport through walls, and the boxes' positions would reset sporadically) It needs a little more work, but overall, i really like it. Hopefully, there will be a sequel to this!

I love "Portal" and I love "Portal: The Flash Version!"! Great game!

Awesome platformer action. And I mean AWESOME.

I always loved the "Unreal Flash" series. Great, fluid motion, nice action, and cool maps. It captured the aspects of Unreal: (sometimes) fast paced action and violence ! It was very entertaining. Thank you for making this game! I can't wait until the next Unreal Flash comes out. However, unlike most of the people who wrote reviews below me, I didn't get the red screen.

Good game, but could use development

this was a fun game, but it could be improved quite a bit. There are some glitches, adn some other things could be added. Lives, enemies, or health are some thing i'df like to see put in. And maybe a checkpoint in each level. Oh well. this still was an awesome game. A very creative idea, and i really liked the simple gameplay. I look forward to Planet Platformer Two.

An addicting, challenging flash!

This game was an original concept- it was so fun, yet, at times, so difficult... Even though i died alot on some levels, i still kept on playing. I don't know why. Anyways, it was a good, hard, game, and i think the idea could be expanded upon. I look forward to another sequel.(or triquel, or whatever...) This was a quite a good flash!

Unique idea, but...

It was a repetitive game. It got boring quickly. But the concept was nice. It could be developed into better ideas and flashes.

Creepy and awesome at the same time

Creepy elements in the game, such as the weird butcher and the girl in the corner, really establish an atmosphere. It is also challenging, just like the Submachine games. A very imaginative and original idea, too! Great work! (However, took me quite a while to solve the puzzles- they can be very tricky! Consider that a warning!)

Do you think about not thinking?
